Jamie O’Neal Auditions New Singers at CMA Fest

If you’ve got the voice and the hunger, start honing your vocal skills. On Saturday (June 12) afternoon at the CMA Music Festival’s Fun Zone stage in Nashville, there’s going to be an open mic contest, sponsored by Manwich.Jamie O’Neal, who had No. 1 hits with “There Is No Arizona” and “When I Think About Angels,” is the judge. The grand prize is an all-expenses paid trip to the CMA Awards in Nashville in November. (Of course, it will take much more work to get to the finals on THAT stage.) To win the contest, you have to audition at the Manwich Backyard BBQ in the Fun Zone on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And no, you don’t have to sing the Manwich jingle. But if you did, you’d definitely want to country it up. Remember? “I want some fun piled on a bun, I want a Manwich please.”
